Peas with'CottageCheese - Mattar Paneer Curry


Preperation Time: 10-15 Minutes

Cooking time: 20-25 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

500 gms green tender peas

150 gms Paneer oil for frying

3-4 tbsp pre-cooked onion paste, or to taste.

1 tsp haldi (turmeric powder)

1 tsp dhania (coriander seed) powder

3-4 cups water

2 tbsp hara dhania (fresh coriander leaves), chopped

½ tsp garam masala or to taste

1 tsp salt, or to taste.

Method:

•  Shell the peas, wash and keep aside.

•  Cut the paneer into 1" cubes.

•  Heat the oil and fry the Paneer cubes till golden.

•  Soak the fried Paneer pieces in a pan of warm water and cover.

•  In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil, add the pre-cooked onion masala. Add haldi dhania, salt and peas.

•  Add 1/3 cup water, and stir for about 2-3 minutes till peas till peas are roasted.

•  Add more water. Cover and cook till peas become tender.

•  Add the drained Paneer cubes, cook and simmer for about 5 minutes.

•  Add hara dhaniaand garam masala.

•  Check if the curry looks thick. Add boiled water to adjust.

Note:

Serve hot with roti, rice or naan.
