Ingredients:
1 kg golden apples green small size (about - 16-18 pieces)
3 cups water
1 ¼ kg sugar
Juice of 1 salt
A pinch of potassium metabisulphite
Preservative.
Method:
Peel the small cooking apples. Prick them and boil them in 3 cups of water. Test if the apples are tender. Take them out on a flute tray.
In a pan boil the same water and sugar on low heat and stir till granules are dissolved. Now add the apples. Add lemon juice and salt and cook till the syrup spins 1- thread consistency or the apples are done. Switch off the gas.
Add the preservative.
Cool and store in a dry jar with an airtight lid.
Raw Mango Pears or Peaches Murabba
Replace the golden apples with the desired fruit.
The method is the same as that for the Apple Murabba. However, as these do not have a long shelf life, preservative has to be added.
Note:
They can stay in the refrigerator for a maximum of 2 weeks.
