(Whole Green Chilli pickle)
Preparation time: 15 Minutes
Cooking time : 10 minutes
makes: 600 gms
Ingredients:
½ kg firm hari mirch (green chilies)
200 gm mustard oil
½ tsp hing (asafoetida) powder
Juice of 10 medium size lemons
2 tbsp lal mirch (red chilli powder),or to taste
½ tsp haldi (turmeric powder)
1 tbsp methi Dana (fenugreek seed), powdered
1 tbsp saunf (aniseed), powdered
1 tbsp rai (mustard seed), powdered
50 gm salt or to taste.
Method:
Heat the oil and lower the heat.
Add the hing powder and lemon juice .after 2-3 b oils add salt lal mirch and haldi powder.
Add the hari mirch whole and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, add the coarsely powdered methi Dana saunf and rai. Stir- fry for 1 minute.
Cool it and store in a clean dry jar.
Note:
This pickle does not need sunshine and does not have a very long shelf life.
